Home sweet home... really this time!

A view from my front step.
I am so in love with where I live!! I sit at my dining table, where I'm sitting now, and have the most amazing view all the time! It's great for someone like me who has a hard time being indoors for too long. So on a cold and blustery or mellow rainy day I can sit back and watch the day from the comfort of my home. I can sit at my computer and skype with friends and family all the while looking out the window feeling connected to nature and as it is connected and grounded myself. It's like a movie that never repeats itself and you never know what you are going to get. Between the ever changing sky (Dunedin weather is notorious for changing at least three times each day- people say you have all seasons in one day) and the tides there is constant activity. Be prepared to see a lot of pictures of the world from my front window. It's almost 10am on a saturday now. The day began grey and wet yet now the sun is slowly begining to peak it's light over the hill to the right. It's my sign to get the day going... and now I realize I accidently erased the 2nd picture of the view I wanted you all to see. I'll take a picture now and post the other one- enjoy! (it's funny how this blogging thing works though because now when I post the picture it doesn't go in the order of my thinking...hhm- is there any way to change this?)

cool sky aye!

We can't drink the water in Waitati (the town I live in) so we have to fill jugs up in town. This is my water jug. Thought you might enjoy seein where your sticker's made it to Tyler!

Doctor's Point Beach

At the beach, just around the corner from the cave. Penguins live in the hills behind me, but I haven't seen any yet. At low tide you can walk for hours connecting all the little beaches.

The beach is behind me. This water is Blueskin Bay and the foothills. The Silverpeaks are in the distance. These hills all had snow on them the other day.

My house is the little maroon one low center. The land to the right and in front has been cleared for new houses.

Doctor's Point Beach

These are pictures of the beach at the end of my road, about a ten minute walk from my house. Here's a sunrise before work one morning.

There are caves down there with lil' swallows swooping overhead. Sometimes the tide comes all the way up and fills in the caves.
