Driving down South last week for work

After a few meetings I decided to visit some of the local tourist spots. It's a good time of year because it's not too busy..yet.

It's no wonder there are so many tourists here because this view was a ten minute walk, tops, from my car. It's the Franz Josef Glacier, about 2.5 hours drive south of home. I was lucky to have a few moments to myself on the viewing plank to take it all in.

This is was to my immediate right when checking out the above view. . . sits a bit funny in my belly..

It's tough to get them to pose for a pic! This was a few months ago.. Rimu is even bigger now!

My new car

The backyard and Kris in action with the mulcher- pretty exciting stuff round here! We're building a fence around the property and clearing trees and it is oh so nice to be putting it all back into the earth and eventually we'll grow veges in it- nothing's wasted around here!

An early morning walk, on a visit to the north part of the South island.
